Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a study according to OECD TG 112 (1981), pKa1 = pKa2 = 7.2 was determined for tridecanedioic acid. However only approximately 10 % of the expected amount of NaOH were consumed for this neutralisation, indicating that most of the test substance was undissolved and thereby not available for an effect on pH and for neutralisation. It was concluded that the dissociation constant of tridecanedioic acid cannot be determined according to OECD TG 112 (1981) due to the low water solubility of the substance and the absence of chromophores in the structure that might enable application of the UV method.
