Description of key information

Four experimental studies provide consistent fish acute toxicity data. The lowest of the three available LC50-96h is used as the key value. LC50 = 17.6 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

LC50 for freshwater fish:
17.6 mg/L

Additional information

Two experimental acute toxicity data are available in the litterature: Broderius and Kahl (1985, 1995) have reported a LC50-96h of 37.9 mg/L in Pimephales promelas (fathead minnow) and Bengtsson-Be et al (1979, 1984) have described a LC50-96h of 45 mg/L in Alburnus alburnus (bleak). In addition, an OECD 201 compliant GLP study report is available for medaka, with an LC50-96h of 17.6 mg/L. This value is considered as the key value.
