Description of key information

To fulfil its technical function the substance is designed to decompose before boiling into the de-blocked isocyanate. This behaviour is described in: Macromolecular Research Vol. 13, No. 5, pp 427-434 (2005), Jung Min Lee, Sankaraiah, Young Soo Lee and Jung Hyun Kim, "Thermal Decomposition Behaviour of blocked Diisocyanates Derived from Mixture of Blocking Agents". The temperature range of deblocking ε-caprolactams is reported to be 155 – 180 °C. Actually, the melting point is determined at 177 °C, hence it is obvious and scientifically reasonable that the decomposition will occur before boiling. So, testing of boiling point is scientifically not reasonable and technically not feasible.
