In Annex IX section 9.1.5 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that chronic tests shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic invertebrates. The results of the risk assessment covering all relevant exposures throughout the life cycle of 1,1'-[(4-methylphenyl)imino]dipropan-2-ol demonstrate the absence of a risk to the environment. The environmental concentrations were predicted and compared to the respective PNECs. The resulting RCRs for all identified uses were clearly below 1. Furthermore the substance is not a PBT or vPvB substance. Consequently, no further studies on 1,1'-[(4-methylphenyl)imino]dipropan-2-ol are required.
