No experimental study is available. Nevertheless, tert-amyl hydroperoxide should be regarded as a skin sensitiser cat 1, since two similar hydroperoxides are skin sensitisers:

tert-butyl hydroperoxide (CAS 75-91-2): skin sens cat 1A

1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl hydroperoxide (CAS 5809-08-5): skin sens cat 1B.
