Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

A skin sensitization study using the test substance Bromochloromethane was performed according to the maximisation method of Magnusson and Kligman on Dunkin-Hartley guinea-pigs. The study was performed in accordance with OECD 406 and to GLP standard. No cutaneous reactions possibly attributable to the sensitization potential of the test substance were observed and the material is therefore not classified as a sensitizer.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
A skin sensitization study using the test substance Bromochloromethane was performed according to the maximisation method of Magnusson and Kligman on Dunkin-Hartley guinea-pigs.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of the skin sensitisation study, the test substance does not meet the criteria for classification according to CLP Regulation EC (No) 1272/2008. No risk phrase is required.
