Description of key information

Abiotic and Biotic Degradation

The half-life of EMB in air was calculated to be 2.753 days. In a Ready Biodegradation Test: Within the test period of 28 days, 66%

degradation was determined for Ethyl Methylbutyrate-2. Ethyl Methylbutyrate-2 can therefore be considered to be ''Readily Biodegradable''.

An adsorption/desorption study was not undertaken because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient of 2 and is readily

biodegradable.

The substance is readily biodegradable, has a log Kow of 2 and is therefore considered to have a low bioaccumulation potential.
