Hence the octanol solublity of the test item in n-octanol is < 1 mg/L.

The n-Octanol solubility was determined at 20 °C. pH value cannot be indicated, as pH is only defined for aqueous solutions, not for octanol solutions.

Executive summary:

In the non-GLP Kllimisch 1 study from Frischmann (2012) the octanol solubility of Aspartic acid, N-(3-carboxy-1-oxo-sulfopropyl)-N-(C16-C18 (even numbered), C18 unsaturated alkyl) tetrasodium salts was determined following the method as outlined in the OECD 105. Instead of water, octanol was used. The octanol solubility at 20°C was determined to be < 1 mg/L.

This value is considered relevant an reliable for the risk assessment.

Description of key information

octanol solubility (20°C): < 1 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
