Experiments were conducted on toxicity of dipentamethylenethiuram hexasulfide on algae, invertebrates and fish according to OECD TGs. DPTH did not show any adverse effect on algae up to its water solubility limit (OECD 201). DPTH did not exhibit any acute or long-term toxicity effect on fish (OECD 210), Daphnia magna (OECD 211) or algae (OECD 201). In addition, DPTH did not exhibit any acute lethal effect on fish. Therefore, no hazard has been identified and the environmental hazard categories can be definitely ruled out (according to CLP criteria).
