First-aid measures

General advice:Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible). Show the safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. First aider needs to protect himself.

If inhaled: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Obtain medical attention. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

In case of skin contact: Wash off with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation or rash occurs, seek medical advice/attention.

In case of eye contact: rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

If swallowed: In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible). Show the safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. Prevent vomiting if possible. Immediately give large quantities of water to drink.

Notes to physician: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide (CO2), Foam Water spray, Dry powder

Special protective equipment for firefighting: Personal protection through wearing a tightly closed chemical protection suit and a self-contained breathing apparatus.

Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Avoid subsoil penetration.

Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Dispose of as special waste in compliance with local and national regulations. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly while observing environmental regulations.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Normal measures for preventive fire protection.

Storage space and container requirements: Store at room temperature in the original container.

Hints on storage assembly: Keep away from food and drink.

Storage specifications: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Respiratory protection: In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection.

Hand protection: Solvent-resistant gloves (butyl-rubber); Material thickness: 0,7mm; Break through time: > 480min; remarks: Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).

Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective equipment.

General protective and hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Do not breathe vapours or spray mist.

Engineering measures: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.

Disposal considerations
