Specific details on test material used for the study:
Identification as reported on study report: cC6O4
Batch Number: 156/17
Purity > 98%
Expiry date: December 31, 2020
Storage conditions: At room temperature at about 20°C
Key result
Water solubility:
>= 667 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
21.7 °C
pH:
4.6
Details on results:
The saturation concentration of cC6O4 at 21.7 °C was estimated by a simplified flask method.
After mixing a total of about 5.5 g of test item in 5 mL of water, a slightly yellow solution with some foam on the surface was obtained. Based on visual judgment the test item was found to be completely dissolved. It was not possible to prepare a saturated solution before reaching a 1:1 ratio, therefore, the water solubility of cC6O4 might be higher as determined in the present study. The concentration in the above mentioned solution was determined by LC-MS/MS with respect to a calibration curve.
Conclusions:
The water solubility of cC6O4 ammonium salt was determined using a simplified flask method and found to be > 667.0 g/L at 21.7 °C.
The substance is very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
Executive summary:

The determination of the water solubility of cC6O4 ammonium salt was performed according to the EEC Directive 92/69, A.6 “Water Solubility” (1992) and the OECD guideline No. 105, “Water Solubility” (adopted July 27, 1995), using a simplified flask method.

The water solubility of cC6O4 was determined using a simplified flask method and was found to be > 667.0 g/L at 21.7 °C. Therefore test item cC6O4 ammonium salt is considered very soluble (> 10000 mg/l).
