Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A determination regarding the classification of a substance with respect to bioaccumulation relies upon the screening criterion and additional considerations, providing a weight-of-evidence demonstration based on BCF values predicted by QSAR modeling. The QSAR model BCFWIN (a module contained within the United States Environmental Protection Agency software EPI-Suite) provides estimates of BCF based on the octanol-water partitioning coefficient (Kow). BCFWIN predicted that the BCF for fifteen components of HK-128 was 1140 L/kg, based on the experimentally-determined log Kow value of 5.14. The predicted BCF value is below the threshold criterion for B (BCF > 2,000) and substantially below the threshold criterion for vB (BCF > 5,000). Therefore, QSAR modeling indicates that each of the major components of HK-128 is likely not “B” and very likely not vB”.
