Description of key information

The auto-flammability of MBB was >404°C, the maximum test temperature.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
404 °C

Additional information

The auto-flammability of 2-Methoxymethyl-p-phenylenediamine (MBB) was determined following EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids).

Endothermic reaction of the test material occurred at temperature range of 80 - 110°C (melting), and no exothermic reaction was observed up to the maximum test temperature of 404°C.

The self-ignition temperature of 2-Methoxymethyl-p-phenylenediamine (MBB) was >404°C, the maximum test temperature.
