Description of key information

The 48-h acute toxicity of the test item to Daphnia magna was studied under static conditions. Since the test item is of low water solubility (0.8 mg/L at 20°C), the test solution was prepared by ultrasonic treatment. Results are based on mean measured concentrations of 2.4, 4.7 and 9.9 mg/L. The 48-h EC50 was estimated to be 4.4 mg/L with 95%-confidence limits ranging from 3.1 to 6.1 mg/L. The 48-h NOEC was estimated to be 2.4 mg/L.
