Details on results:
The water solubility of cobalt boron propionate at 20 °C (after 72 hours of shaking) was determined to be 33258.2 mg/L and at 37 °C (after 72 hours of shaking) 34661.9 mg/L. The measured results differ by less than 7%. Therefore, the study is considered to be valid.

From the results obtained by the Perkin-Elmer software the concentration of Cobalt in the analyzed solutions was calculated by the following equations (1) and (2):

C1 = x – Blank        (1)

C2 = C1 · f              (2)

Where C1 = Concentration of cobalt in the test item solution after saturation [μg/mL]

x = Measured concentration of cobalt in the sample solution [μg/mL]

Blank = Measured concentration of cobalt in the blank solution [μg/mL]

C2 = Concentration of cobalt in the test item solution before dilution [μg/mL]

f = Dilution factor

From the concentration of Cobalt the water solubility of the test item was calculated by the following equation (3):

C3 = (C2 *100) / CCo       (3)

Where

C3 = Water solubility of the test [μg/mL]

C2 = Result of equation (2)

100 = Calculation factor [%]

CCo = Concentration of cobalt in the test item as given by the Sponsor (here: 36.6%)

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
During this study the water solubility of the test item at 20 °C and at 37 °C were determined using the flask method and was found to be 33258.2 mg/L at 20 °C (based on a measured concentration of 12172.5 mg Co/L) and 34661.9 mg/L at 37 °C (based on a measured concentration of 12686.3 mg Co/L ).
