Description of key information

The vapour pressure of benzylamine is 0.6 hPa at 20°C, 1.3 hPa at 30°C and 5.2 hPa at 50°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
60 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

In the report of Currenta (2009) on the emission of benzylamine during production, a literature source in which the vapour pressure of benzylamine was experimentally determined is cited. The results of the measurement of the vapour pressure revealed vapour pressure values of 0.6, 1.3 and 5.2 mbar (or 60, 130 and 520 Pa) at 20°C, 30°C and 50°C, respectively. These values are confirmed by the values provided by the supporting studies and handbook data.
