Additional information

One valid key study is available to assess the acute toxicity of the test item Chimexane NB to the fish (Rainbow trout). This study was performed according to the principles of the OECD Guideline 203 and EU Method C.1 with GLP statement. A semi-static limit test was conducted with a single test item concentration of 1.0 mg/L (instead of 100 mg/L, as described in guidelines). Duration of the test was 96h. 7 test organisms were exposed to the test concentration and control and one replicate was used for the test concentration and the control. Water quality parameters pH-value, temperature and oxygen-saturation measured after 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96h were determined to be within the acceptable limits. All validity criteria were fulfilled. The limit concentration was analytically verified via LC-MS/MS from freshly prepared media after 0 and 72h and from 24h old media after 24 and 96h. The recovery rate was comprised between 77 to 106%. All effect levels are given based on the geometric mean measured concentration of the test item: 0.927 mg/L.

No mortality was observed during the test duration. The EC50 (96h) is > 0.927 mg/L.
