Based on the test results the substance could be considered as not highly adsorptive, that indicates that soil and sediment are not expected to be the main target compartments for exposure assessment.


When release in water compartment, the substance is not expected to be degraded. Indeed, m/p diols was demonstrated to be hydrolytically stable and not readily biodegradable.


However, in addition to a low potential of bioaccumulation, the substance was shown to be not acutely toxic to aquatic organism. As a consequence, the substance is not classified for environmental purpose.
