Conclusion on classification

Acute (short term) aquatic hazard: Algae is the most sensitive aquatic species with an EC50 of 52.4 mg/L. In conclusion, the substance has not to be classified with regard to acute toxicity according to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).

Chronic toxicity: Algae is the most sensitive aquatic species with an EC50 (72 -h) of 52.4 mg/L, an EC10 of 14.3 and a NOEC of 20.6 mg/L. In a ready biodegradability test, it was shown, that the substance was not ready biodegradable. Thus, the substance has to be classiffied with R52/53 according to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) and as environmental chronic toxic cat. 3 (H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
