Surface tension:
60.14 mN/m
Temp.:
20 °C
Conc.:
1 g/L
Surface tension:
60.95 mN/m
Temp.:
20 °C
Conc.:
1 g/L
Conclusions:
The surface tension of an aqueous solution of SIKA Hardener MH was determined in two measurements. Both measurements revealed values higher than 60 mN/m. Therefore, SIKA Hardener MH was classified as not surface active.
Executive summary:

The determination of the surface tension of an aqueous solution of Sika Hardener MH was performed according to OECD Guideline 115 resp. EU Method A.5. The surface tension of an aqueous solution of the test item Sika Hardener MH was determined as 60.14 ± 0.57 mN/m at 20 ± 0.3 °C. One measurement was performed for verification (after 69 minutes), resulting in a value of 60.95 ± 0.13 mN/m. No significant changes and thus no significant dependence on time were observed. As both values were higher than 60 mN/m, Sika Hardener MH was classified as not surface active. The surface tension of the negative control lay within the accepted range.
