Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

An experimental data by DSC on substance showed that the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition is below 500°C thus the test substance is not considered to exhibit a danger of explosion.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Self-classification according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on CLP:

- The substance contains one chemical group "ether" which might be associated with explosive properties

- Step2:The experimental data by DSC on substance showed that the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition is below 500°C.

The experimental data by DSC indicated that the substance does not have a potential for rapid energy release.

It can be concluded that the substance is not considered as having potential explosive properties. Thus, it is not to be classified as an explosive material.
