The test item was tested for its stability in the organic solvents DMSO and Ethanol for up to 7 days at a temperature of 22°C using an HPLC method for identification.
The content of ASCplus was witin the range of ca. 94.9 to 99.7 over the period of 7 days.
No further peaks have appeared.
Thus, the substance is stable under the conditions used.

HPLC spectra are identical for all samples of all sampling times. In both solutions no changes in the HPLC chromatograms were observed.
No new peaks have appeared in the chromatograms.
Description of key information
Stability in organic solvents:
Solutions of ASCplus in DMSO and ethanol were stable over 7 days at 22°C.
Identification of relevant degradation products from biodegradation screening tests in water:
ASC plus was degraded in a screening test for biodegradation (OECD 301 B) to two main metabolites (#1 a derivative of Gamma Amino butyric Acid #2the Glycine Derivative Tosylglycine ) following sequential Beta oxidation. This is in agreement with literature (Haberer et al. 1995 and 1996).
