Description of key information

Short term toxicity to fish:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the test substance Zinc distearate (CAS No. 557-05-1) is highly insoluble (experimental solubility: 0.0046 mg/L at 25° C) in water. And also having the partition coefficient 4.64 and consider to be hydrophobic.

Long term toxicity to fish:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the test substance Zinc distearate (CAS No. 557-05-1) is highly insoluble (experimental solubility: 0.0046 mg/L at 25° C) in water. And also having the partition coefficient 4.64 and consider to be hydrophobic.

Short term toxicity to aquatic invertebrate:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the test substance Zinc distearate (CAS No. 557-05-1) is highly insoluble (experimental solubility: 0.0046 mg/L at 25° C) in water. And also having the partition coefficient 4.64 and consider to be hydrophobic.

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the test substance Zinc distearate (CAS No. 557-05-1) is highly insoluble (experimental solubility: 0.0046 mg/L at 25° C) in water. And also having the partition coefficient 4.64 and consider to be hydrophobic.

Toxicity to microorganism:

In accordance with column 2 of Annex VIII of the REACH regulation, testing for this end point is considered scientifically unjustified since there are mitigating factors indicating that aquatic toxicity is unlikely to occur as the test substance Zinc distearate (CAS No. 557-05-1) is highly insoluble (experimental solubility: 0.0046 mg/L at 25° C) in water. And also having the partition coefficient 4.64 and consider to be hydrophobic.
