Additional information

A study was conducted to assess the toxicity of the test substance to Zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio) in a 96-hours static test. Test concentrations of 1, 10, 100, and 500 mg/L were used. The substance was dissolved in the test water. One replicate of 10 organisms was treated with the appropriate concentration of the test substance. A control group of 10 organisms was not exposed to test substance. Dissolved oxygen, temperature and pH measurements were recorded at dosing and daily through termination. Observation of mortality was made at 2-4, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours after treatment. The test was terminated after 96 + and - 1 hours of exposure.

A 100% survival rate was observed in control fish, and a 100% survival rate was observed in fish treated with the test substance up to 500 mg/L. Based on observation, the 96- hour median lethal concentration (LC50) of the test substance was determined to be > 500 mg/L. The NOEC was determined to be 500 mg/L.
