Description of key information

Biodegradation in water: Screening test: Key study: Based on the read-across approach from experimental results on the analogue substance butan-2-one O,O',O''-(methylsilanetriyl)oxime, the test item was determined not to be readily biodegradable. This result was supported by EPI-Suite, EPA (USA) / BIOWIN v4.10 calculation method.

Biodegradation in water: Simulation test: Data waiving (study scientifically not necessary): The substance undergoes rapid hydrolysis (half-life < 1h) in aqueous to 2-butanone oxime and vinylsilanetriol. Thus, data requirements for the simulation test study on water is waved based on hydrolysis and identification of degradation products, and further evaluation of degradation products is considered.

Biodegradation in sediment: Simulation test: Data waiving (study scientifically not necessary): In accordance with column 1 of REACH Annex IX,  the sediment simulation test study does not need to be conducted as the substance and degradation products have no adsorption potential expected to sediment.

Biodegradation in soil: Data waiving (study scientifically not necessary): In accordance with column 1 of REACH Annex IX,  the soil simulation test study does not need to be conducted as the substance and degradation products have no adsorption potential expected to soil.
