General Information

Implementation:
EU
Type of classification:
self-classification
Remarks:

Rosemary oil is not listed in Table 3 (harmonised classification and labelling of hazardous substances) of Annex VI to the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (Annex VI to CLP_ATP10 - in force from 1 December 2018). Based on the available experimental data and C&L information on the main constituents, the substance is classified for:

- Flammable liquid (H226)

- Aspiration hazard (H304), based on >10% constituents with aspiration hazard in the UVCB

- Skin irritation (H315), mainly based on >10% skin irritating constituents in the UVCB

- Skin sensitisation (H317), based on >1% skin sensitising constituents in the UVCB

- Eye irritation (H319), mainly based on >10% eye irritating constituents in the UVCB

- STOT SE 2 (H371), based on the content of Camphor in the UVCB

- Aquatic chronic toxicity (H411)
