Additional information

The adsorption coefficient (Koc) of nonanal was determined to be 692 (OECD 121, HPLC screening method). Based on the test results the substance is not considered to be highly adsorptive indicating that soil and sediment are not expected to be the main target components for exposure assessment. Indeed, the CSA using the Koc value from the HPLC screening study demonstrates safe use for the sediment and soil compartments. Therefore, further studies on adsorption/desorption are not required.
