Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
adsorption / desorption: screening
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient and the adsorption potential of this substance is related to this parameter
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with REACH Annex VIII, Section 9.3.1, Column 2, adsorption/desorption screening does not need to be conducted if the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption. ECHA Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, Chapter R7, indicates that a cut off of log Pow = 3 is acceptable, for which this substance has a log Pow = < 3. In addition, a prediction of the log Koc using KOCWIN v2.00 estimates that the log Koc = 1.1, indicating that the substance would have a low potential for adsorption.
