Additional information

Two studies are available to address this endpoint, one key and one supporting.

As part of a study conducted to GLP in compliance with standard test guidelines to determine the physico-chemical properties of the substance (Oudhoff, 2016), a visual assessment was made regarding the physical appearance of the test material. Given that the result for this endpoint is an observation reported in a GLP compliant guideline study, the result has been regarded as being reliable without restrictions and was therefore awarded a reliability score of 1 according to the criteria of Klimisch et al. (1997).

The appearance is reported as a white solid at ambient temperature.

The supporting study (Powers, 1969) was conducted to assess the oral toxicity of the test material in rats. This study is a non-GLP assessment conducted in accordance with generally accepted scientific principles with well-documented data and has been assigned a reliability score of 2 in line with the principles for assessing data quality as defined by Klimisch et al. (1997).

The substance was determined by visual inspection to be a white granular solid with a faint odour.
