Description of key information

The terrestrial toxicity of zinc lactate can be understood in terms of the terrestrial toxicity of zinc(II) and lactic acid. Lactic acid not relevant for hazard identification for terrestrial organisms. For zinc, a lowest NOEC of 32 mg/kg is available, corresponding to 119 mg/kg zinc lactate.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Long-term EC10, LC10 or NOEC for terrestrial plants:
119 mg/kg soil dw
