Test organisms (species):
Raphidocelis subcapitata (previous names: Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, Selenastrum capricornutum)
Details on test organisms:
ATCC 22662
Test type:
static
Water media type:
freshwater
Limit test:
no
Total exposure duration:
96 h
Hardness:
The determination was carried out in media with two hardnesses; the standard medium with a hardness of 15 mg/L CaCO3, and a medium with the hardness increased to 150 mg/L CaCO3.
Nominal and measured concentrations:
The concentrations; of Zinc-(L)-Lactate tested in low hardness medium were O, 32, 64, 130,260, 520, and 1040 µg/L. The concentrations of Zinc-(L)-lactate tested in high hardness medium were 0, 64, 130, 260, 520, 1040 and 2079 mg/L. The analytical measurement of zinc confirmed the initial test substance concentrations with a mean analytical recovery of 89 % (range 82-94 %).
