Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the explosiveness of the substance does not need to be tested, because there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties in the molecule.

It should be noted that the test substance is a powder, and dust generated from the substance may be explosive if mixed with air in critical proportions and in the presence of a source of ignition. However, per the Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria (ECHA-12G-14 -EN, 11/2012), a substance or mixture which is not itself an explosive but which can form an explosive atmosphere of gas, vapour or dust is not included in the class of "explosives."

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the chemical structure of the substance, i.e. the lack of chemical groups associated with explosive properties, classification is not warranted in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
