Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A reliable long-term toxicity study with invertebrates is available for reaction mass of Amines, coco alkyl and ß-Alanine, N-(2-carboxyethyl)-, N-coco alkyl derivs. and ß-Alanine, N-coco alkyl derivs. and included in the dossier.

Parr (2013) conducted a reliable (Klimisch 1) GLP compliant study following OECD 211 methods. Based on the results of a preliminary range-finding test, less than 24 hr old Daphnia magna were exposed (10 replicates of a single daphnid per group) to Water Accommodated Fractions (WAFs) of the test substance without solvent over a range of nominal loading rates of 0.20, 0.40, 0.80, 1.6 and 3.2 mg/L for a period of 21 days under semi-static test conditions.  The numbers of live and dead adult Daphnia and young daphnids (live and dead) were determined daily.  The Daphnia were fed daily with a mixture of algal suspension and Tetramin®flake food suspension. Study results indicate a 21-day LOEC and NOEC of 3.2 and 1.6 mg/L WAF, respectively, based on immobilization. Determination of NOEC based on reproduction was not possible due to test organism performance. Consequently, this study will be taken for the long-term toxicity of the test substance to invertebrates endpoint.
