All members of the category alkylethoxysulfates are readily biodegradable which is proved by several studies available for different mixtures (Danish EPA [1] & HERA [2]). Hence, the substances will be ultimately degraded under environmental conditions. Therefore, alkylethoxysulfates are not expected to persist in the environment.
