no significant variation (0.74%) of recorded values.

Conclusions:
The surface tension of an aquous solution (90% saturation) was determined as 64.79 +-0.34 mN/m at 21.5°C being the mean of two measurements in accordance with the official OECD Test Guideline No 115 (1995) and EC method A.5 (1992). No significant changes and thus no significant dependence on time and temperature was observed . The test item is classified as not surface active .

Description of key information

Surface tension: 64.79 nM/m +/-0.34 mN/m at 21.5°C and at 90% saturation . The test item is classified as not surface active.

Method: OECD Test Guideline 115 (1995) and the EC Method A.5 (1992) (by Plate Method).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
64.79
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
2.8

Additional information

The surface tension of an aquous solution (90% saturation equivalent to a concentration of 2.8 mg/L) was determined as 64.79 +-0.34 mN/m at 21.5°C being the mean of two measurements.
