Description of key information
The measured partition co-efficient for 97280-83-6 (C12) was reported to be 7.6 to 7.8 (Log Pow). Estimated log Kow for the butylene oligomers ranged from 4.12 - 9.91.
A guideline proprietary study (Evonik Oxeno 2009) for 97280-83-6 found log Pow to be 7.6 to 7.8. A supporting study, QSAR (KOWWIN in EPISuite V4.1) estimated the log Kow for the butylene oligomers C8 - C16 to range from 4.12 - 9.91.
The mean of the measured partition coefficient values is 7.7 at 20°C and as been used to complete the 'key value for chemical safety assessment'.
