Description of key information

LC50 for freshwater fish > 100 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a 96-h acute toxicity study, zebra-fish (Brachydanio rerio) were exposed to test item at nominal concentrations of 0 (control, solvent control) and 100 mg/L under static conditions.  The 96-h LC50 was > 100 mg/L. No sublethal effects were observed and no mortalities were observed in the blank and solvent control.

An additional study is available and used as supporting data. The study on Oryzias latipes was conducted as a limit test and LC50 values were calculated to be greater than the highest applied test concentration 0.078 mg/L which is above the water solubility.

It can be concluded that the test substance is not acutely toxic to fish at the range of solubility.
