Additional information

Based on the integrated testing strategy [ECHA R.7c, 2008] a stepwise approach to hazard identification on terrestrial organisms is required. Tests of the toxicity on earthworms were considered as first step, due to the fact that earthworms are exposed via multiple uptake routes (soil pore water, ingestion of soil material, soil air, secondary poisoning). For the test substance an acute toxicity test on earthworms (Eisenia fetida) was performed. In this test no acute effects on earthworms occurred after 14 days exposure to 1000 mg/kg soil dw.

Furthermore it was proven with an exposure estimation, that all identified uses of the test substance are safe (RCR < 1). Thus no risks for terrestrial organisms were identified in the chemical safety assessment.

Therefore, no further tests on terrestrial organisms are required.
