Description of key information

This substance is void of any chemical structures commonly associated with explosive properties, such as metal peroxides, peroxo-acid-anions, azides, and halogen oxides. Lead dichloride is an inorganic salt containing only Pb[2+] and Cl[-] ions and is not combustible. Further, it is noted that despite long-term industrial use of the substance, it is not classified for explosive properties according to UN transport regulations (in accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI). Therefore, testing for explosive properties is not justified.
