PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Summary of the Evaluation: An assessment of the PBT status of this organic UVCB substance by comparison with the

criteria of Annex XIII has been made using all available data for both this material and structurally similar materials for

which read-across is applicable. The information available indicates that “Phosphorodithioic acid, mixed O,O-bis(6-

methylheptyl and sec-butyl) esters, zinc salts” is not considered to be a PBT or a vPvB substance. Toxicity studies show that this material does not meet the criterion for acute or chronic toxicity to aquatic organisms. Biodegradation studies show limited potential to biodegrade. Experimental data, read across, and model predictions indicate BCF of less than 2000. Thus this material does not meet the PBT or vPvB criteria; It does not meet the B (or vB) criterion, and is considered not to meet the T criterion. It is considered likely to meet the P criterion.
