Conclusions:
The components of highly inverted invert sugar (sucrose, glucose and fructose) are all included in Annex IV of the REACH regulation, indicating that sufficient information is known about these substances that they are considered to cause minimum risk because of their intrinsic properties. Therefore, a short-term repeated dose toxicity study for highly inverted invert sugar is not necessary.
