Results and discussion

Water solubility
Water solubility:
5.85 µg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
8.6
Remarks on result:
other: maximum analysed concentration

Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary test:

The content of test substance dissolved in the water sample was 0.65 mg/l. This content is expected to be an overestimation of the water solubility due to probably incomplete removal of undissolved TTP.

Main study:

Concentration first increased and then decreased with stirring time (minimum analysed concentration was 1.97 µg/l). Maximum concentration measured was 5.85 µg/l (after 5 hours of stirring). This concentration is reported as maximum water solubility. No test substance was detected in the pretreated samples from the blank water mixture.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): insoluble (< 0.1 mg/L)
The flask method was used for the determination of the water solubility of TTP. The water solubility of the test substance at 20°C was 5.85 µg/l. The pH of the aqueous samples decreased with stirring time and was 8.6 after 72 hours of stirring.
