Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: Remove casualty from exposure ensuring ones own satety whilst doing so. If conscious, ensure the casualty sits or lies down. Consult a doctor.

Eyes: Bathe the eye with running water for 5 minutes.

Skin: Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Consult a doctor.

Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. If conscious, give half a litre of water to drink immediately. Consult a doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

Extingushing media: Water spray, alcohol resistant foam, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide. Use water spray to cool containers.

Exposure hazards: In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur oxides, carbon disulphide (CS2), isopropanol.

Advice for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Refer to personal protection details. Mark out the contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorised personnel. Turn leaking containers leak-side up the prevent the escape of liquid.

Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains or rivers. Contain the spillage using bunding.

Clean up procedures: Absorb into dry earth or sand. Transfer to a closable, labelled salvage container for disposal by an appropriate method.

Handling and storage

Handling requirements: Ensure there is exhaust ventilation of the area. Avoid the formation or spread of mists in the air. Avoid direct contact with the substance.

Storage conditions: Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed .
