Description of key information

BETA W 7 A 1.0 was readily biodegradable under the conditions of the closed bottle test performed according to OECD 301 D.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

The relative biodegradation values calculated from the oxygen measurements performed during the test period of 28 days revealed significant degradation of BETA W 7 A 1.0 at both concentrations, 66% for both the low and high concentration. In the low concentration 60% biodegradation was reached within 10 days after biodegradation has reached 10%. BETA W 7 A 1.0 was found to be not inhibitory to bacteria.
