Wash affected skin with plenty of water and soap. Call a
doctor when complaints persist.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse the mouth with water.

Consult a doctor.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: A.F.F.F., water foam, fire chemicals, carbon dioxide snow

Product arising from burning: CO, CO2, NOx

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Respiration apparatus independent of surrounding air.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take care for suitable personal protection.

Prevent the development of dust clouds.

Evacuate the neighbourhood.

Do not let enter the sewage system, natural water or the
soil.

Collect the spilled material.

Wash contaminated area with water.

Remove all dust layers.

Ventilate the neighbourhood.

Handling and storage

Handling: Wear appropiate protection clothes.

Ventilation recommended.

Prevent the formation of dust clouds.

Take measurements against static electricity.

Storage: Closed packaging on a cool and well ventilated place.

Keep packaging dry.

Prevent from strongly reducing compounds.

Protect from (sun)light.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: BigBags equipped with a anti-static polyethylene innerbag
containing ca. 375 kg product.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None known.

Chemical reaction with water: None anticipated.

Dust explosion: Fine particles are sensible for a dust explosion.

The results of a test performed according to VDI 3673
("Druckentlastung von Staubexplosionen, 1992) were as
follows:

The corrected maximum explosion pressure (P max) was 9.5 bar
absolute.

The maximum pressure increase is 960 bar/s and the Kst-value
is 261 bar.m/s.

The test substance falls therefore in dust explosion class
St.2.

Dust explosion determined by test: Y

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery: rejected material can be recrystallised. Not
applicable for spilled material.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Wash with excess of water [633].

Then to biological waste water treatment [641].

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not preferred.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerate in an incinerator for chemical waste.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Treatment in a waste water treatment plant is considered
possible [641].

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable since the substance will not become available
to the public at large.
