Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for
at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention without delay,
preferably from a ophthalmologist.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes and wash with soap and water. If
irritation persists or if contact has been prolonged, obain
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If patient is fully conscious, give two glasses of water.
Induce vomiting. Obtain medical attention without delay. If
medical advice is delayed, and if the person has swalloed a
moderate volume of material (+/- 50ml), then give +/- 100 ml
of hard liquor, such as whiskey.
For children, give proportionally less liquor, according to
weight.
Fire-fighting measures
manufacturer's recommended technique for large fires. Use
carbon dioxide or dry chemical media for samll fires.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon, nitrogen and silicon
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Selfcontaining breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
should be collected for disposal. Wear suitable protective
equiment. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Handling and storage
protective equipment as safety goggles and gloves should be
used, if there is a possibility of exposition to the
substance. Contact with the substance should be avoided.
Storage: This product should be stored in closed equipment to keep
vapours in and keep moisture out. When this is done, general
room ventilation is expected to be satisfactory.
Special, local ventilation is needed at points where vapours
can be expected to escape to the workplace air.
Keep away from heat and flame.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 20 and 200 liter metal drums
