Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If signs of toxicity occur, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate affected eye(s) with copious amounts of water for
at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected skin with copious amounts of water for at
least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give plenty of cold water. Evoke vomiting if large amount is
ingested. If necessary, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical and alcohol resistant foam.
Product arising from burning: Toxic fumes of aluminium oxide and COx
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing equipment to avoid inhalation of
vapours.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Use mask or air-purifying respirator to avoid inhalation of
the vapour.
Small spills may be soaked up with absorbent material and
scooped into drums. Large spills: prevent spilled liquid
from entering drains or sewers and pump into drums using
non-spark-generating pumps. Keep spilled materials away from
fire.
Handling and storage
Handling: Protective gloves should be worn along with safety glasses
or goggles. Respiratory protection (half mask respirator) or
local exhaust ventilation may be desirable.
Storage: Keep container closed. Store in a cool, dry place.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: One litre steel containers, packed in cardboard boxes.
