Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air if adverse effects are observed.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical

attention if irritation develops or persists.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. Seek medical attention if

irritation develops.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Give two glasses of water if the

person is concious. Get immediate medical attention,

symptomatic treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical and alcohol foam are suitable

extinguishing agents. Water may be used to cool and protect

exposed material but may splatter the substance itself.

Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides

and some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (cf 2.3.1).

Ventilate the area. Prevent entry into sewers or

watercourses. Collect the liquid or absorb on inert material

before collection. Dispose of waste by incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: Use with adequate ventilation. Wear nitrile or neoprene

gloves and safety glasses. If necessary use an approved

respirator with an organic vapour cartridge. Use a

self-contained breathing apparatus for entry into confined

spaces or poorly ventilated areas.

Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.

Storage: No special precautions.

Keep containers closed when not in use.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: The substance is an oligomer and no method of chemical

neutralisation is known at present.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Use an approved facility equipped with

waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from fuels is not feasible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable at the concentration in fuels.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Use an approved facility equipped with

waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Recover waste fuel at an appropriate facility.
