First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. If breathing has stopped

perform artificial respiration. In all cases, remove

contaminated clothing. Periodic examinations may be

required in some Member States.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Do not put

anything in the eyes without medical advice.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting, give patient half a litre of water

and seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides

together with some soot. Suitable extinguishing agents are

dry chemical, carbon dioxide and water spray.

Accidental release measures

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Avoid

dust inhalation and formation of explosive clouds with air.

Ensure suitable electrical connections are used and that

equipment is earthed. Avoid static charge accumulation.

Storage: The substance is usually supplied in 1 kg or 5 kg aluminium

bags under nitrogen, packed in paper drums (other suitable

materials are glass and plastic). Avoid physical damage to

containers.
