- Conclusions:
- According to guideline OECD 102 and method EU A.1, no melting point of substance REACTION PRODUCTS OF 2,2-BIS(HYDROXYMETHYL)-1,3-PROPANEDIOL AND 3,9-DIVINYL-2,4,8,10-TETRAOXASPIRO[5.5]UNDECANE AND TRIMETHOXYMETHANE was observed from - 20°C.
- Executive summary:
The purpose of the study was to determine the Melting/Freezing point of substance REACTION PRODUCTS OF 2,2-BIS(HYDROXYMETHYL)-1,3-PROPANEDIOL AND 3,9-DIVINYL-2,4,8,10-TETRAOXASPIRO[5.5]UNDECANE AND TRIMETHOXYMETHANE.
The determination of the Melting/Freezing point was performed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, method A.1 “Melting/Freezing Temperature” (May 2008) and OECD Guideline No 102 “Melting Point/Melting Range” (July 1995).
In a preliminary study, the test item was still not frozen after twelve hours of storage in a freezer at - 20°C. According to Annex VII of REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006), the study does not need to be conducted below a lower limit of -20°C.Therefore the determination was terminated.
The Melting/Freezing point of substance REACTION PRODUCTS OF 2,2-BIS(HYDROXYMETHYL)-1,3-PROPANEDIOL AND 3,9-DIVINYL-2,4,8,10-TETRAOXASPIRO[5.5]UNDECANE AND TRIMETHOXYMETHANE should be stated as < - 20°C.
Reference
The test item was still not frozen after twelve hours of storage in a freezer at - 20°C.
According to Annex VII of REACH, the study does not need to be conducted below a lower limit of - 20°C. Therefore no main study was performed and the determination was terminated.
No melting/freezing point could be detected for REACTION PRODUCTS OF 2,2-BIS(HYDROXYMETHYL)-1,3-PROPANEDIOL AND 3,9-DIVINYL-2,4,8,10-TETRAOXASPIRO[5.5]UNDECANE AND TRIMETHOXYMETHANE in the experimental condition used.
